Frequently Asked Questions
- Everyone who is under 65 can enroll during the Open Enrollment Period (11/1/2022- 1/15/2023). You can enroll in individual or family coverage (which includes spouse and dependents).
- If you are over 65 and trying to enroll in Medicare, the Annual Open Enrollment Period is from 10/15/2022-12/7/2022 (you must have Medicare Part A and Part B before calling). Or, you can enroll during the 7 month Initial Enrollment Period (which begins 3 months prior to the month of your 65 th birthday and ends 3 months after that month).
The Open Enrollment period (under 65 enrollments) runs from 11/1/2022 – 1/15/2023, the Annual Election Period (over 65 enrollments) runs from 10/15/2022-12/7/2022 and our call center lines are open M-F from 8:30am- 5:00pm EST.
You can call our phone line (844-452-0404) or schedule an appointment to speak with a licensed representative. They will assist you in determining if you qualify for enrollment in medical insurance plans through both Private Products and through the federal government’s ACA Health Insurance Marketplace (i.e. the Exchange). They will then assist in selecting the plan that works best for you and your family.
If you call after the Open Enrollment Period has ended, you will need to have a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) in order to enroll between 1/16/2023-10/31/2023. These include (but are not limited to): Loss of Qualifying Coverage, Moving to a New State, Marriage, Birth of a Child, Adoption, etc.
Unfortunately, due to high call volumes during the OEP, you will need to schedule a new appointment. Our call center team will be glad to do that for you if you call 844-452-0404, or you can schedule for yourself here.
- If you enroll between 11/1 and 12/15, your coverage will be effective 1/1/2023.
- If you enroll between 12/16 and 1/15, your coverage will be effective 2/1/2023.
- Outside of Open Enrollment, your effective date will generally be the 1 st of the month following the month you enrolled.
There is no additional cost to utilize our services! The cost is the same whether you enroll yourself directly through healthcare.gov or medicare.gov or use one of our licensed representatives to guide you through the process and explain your options to you.
